Discover southern Mongolia with an epic journey through Gobi Desert, known as ancient seabed, the awe-inspiring landscapes of Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park and venturing into stunning rural regions to meet local nomads. Within this 10 day overland Gobi tour, you'll explore spectacular places such as stone plateau, a habitat of wildlife, gorgeous sand dunes surrounded by rugged hills and colorful canyons in the middle of nowhere.

Itinerary

DAY 1. TO IKH NART NATURE RESERVE

Start the tour in Mongolian Gobi Desert and drive from Ulaanbaator city to Ikh Nart Nature Reserve. It features a rocky outcrops in a arid steppe area and is a home for some endangered species such as Argali sheep, Siberian ibex, corsac fox, vulture,...etc.

DAY 2. RIDE & WALK THRU IKH NART PLATEAU

Spend a day to explore Ikh Nart Nature Reserve, seeing wild sheep and ibex.

DAY 3. TO IKH GAZAR

Head to Ikh Gazar, vertically formed granite hills in the middle of nowhere. Once reach the place, we'll set up our tent and afterwards, will hike through beautifully formed stone hills.

DAY 4. TO WHITE CANYON

Continue the trip to Tsagaan suvarga, known as white canyon by locals. Upon arrival, we'll park our vehicle on the top of the canyon and walk down to enjoy its best view.

DAY 5. TO YOL VALLEY

Drive to Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park to visit Yol Canyon. When we arrive in the park, will visit South Gobi Nature Museum and then drive to the canyon to explore.

DAY 6. TO KHONGOR SAND DUNES

Travel to Khongor Sand Dunes, the most beautiful sand dunes in the Gobi, with a length of 120km and 6-14km in width.

DAY 7. TO BAYANZAG / FLAMING CLIFFS /

After having hearty breakfast, drive to Flaming cliffs or Bayanzag, a famous place with its first dinosaur nest exloration in the world.

DAY 8. TO ERDENE DALAI VILLAGE / VISIT A NOMADIC FAMILY /

Head to Bayan Dalai village where we will visit a none touristic nomads to experience an authentic nomadic way of life.

DAY 9. TO KHUSTAI NP VIA ZORGOL KHAIRKHAN MOUNTAIN

The next morning, we'll be off on a long journey to Hustai National Park to see Takhi horse. On the way to the park, will take a short stop for enjoying a beautiful mountain scenery.

DAY 10. RETURN ULAANBAATAR CITY

Head back to Ulaanbaatar city and transferred to accommodation.
