Itinerary

DAY 1. FLY TO KHOVD TOWN & TRAVEL TO TSAMBAGARAV NATIONAL PARK

After check-out of the hotel in Ulaanbaatar city, our representative will take you to the Chingges Khaan airport. You will be boarding a flight to Khovd town. Upon arrival at Hovd airport, our driver and tour guide will pick you up and drive to Tambagarav National Park. Once reach the destination, go for a hiking nearby Tsambagarav Mount 13,757 ft on the first day of this western Mongolian 10 day holiday package.

DAY 2. TO EAGLE HUNTERS & KOZAKH NOMADS VIA ULGII TOWN

Head to Sagsai village to visit a Kozakh nomadic family who is famous with their golden eagle trainers in the western Mongolia. We will enjoy their hospitality and friendliness and delve into their nomadic culture and falconary.

DAY 3. TRAVEL TO ALTAI TAVAN BOGD NATIONAL PARK / RANGER STATION /

After a hearty breakfast we travel to Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, a stunningly beautiful park of snow capped peaks and immense glaciers, located in the extreme western corner of Mongolia. Upon arrival at the ranger station, locally known as white river, we will visit a Tuvan family to learn more about the nomadic tribe living on the highest plateau of Mongolia. In the evening after dinner, will pack our stuffs for the next three day trip to the Altai 5 peaks.

DAY 4. TO ALTAI TAVAN BOGD NATIONAL PARK / POTANIN GLACIER /

We would start our horseback riding heading to Potanin glacier and majestic five peaks. On the way, enjoy our lunch at a spot with magnificent views. Once reach to the base camp, we'll set up our tent next to the glacier and go for a walk to explore the surroundings.

DAY 5. TO ALTAI TAVAN BOGD NATIONAL PARK / MALCHIN PEAK /

Start our trekking to Malchin peak, one of the 5 peaks of Altai Mountain, which marks the Mongolian and Russian border. We will climb up to the peak 13,287 ft and it will be little challening, but we can easily be on the top. Enjoy the whole scenery of the Altai Tavan Bogd national park and the Mongolian longest glacier from the top of the Malchin Mount.

DAY 6. TO BACK TO RANGER STATION

Conitnue our horseback riding back to the white river and visit the tuvan family to stay over the night.

DAY 7. TO ULGII TOWN

Continue our tour heading Ulgii town by our russian van. Upon arrival, enjoy hot shower and dine in a locally owned Turkish restaurant. Overnight in a local yurt hostel.

DAY 8. TO UUREG LAKE VIA ACHIT LAKE

Travel to Uureg lake, which is 1425m high above sea level and surrounded by snow-capped beautiful mountains. On the way, we will enjoy our lunch at Achit lake and heading to the east to explore number of mound graves dated back to the Bronze Age. Upon arrival at our destination, drive along the shoreline for a little and then spot our perfect camping site.

DAY 9. TO ULAANGOM TOWN VIA UVS LAKE

Head to Ulaangom town via Uvs lake, the biggest lake of Mongolia by its surface area. We'll ride up to the waters edge to take a photo and little hiking and then drive to Ulaangom town, an administrative town of Uvs province. Enjoy our dinner at a local restaurant and stay overnight in a hotel.

DAY 10. FLY BACK TO ULAANBAATAR CITY

Today is the last day of the western Mongolian excusion. After a hearty breakfast, check-out of the hotel in Ulaangom town and you will be concluding the tour. will be taken to the airport to fly back to the capital city of Mongolia.
