Our directions take you from Middle Gobi on a clockwise tour around the scenic places of the central and northern Mongolia. And, the trip also allows in a visit to the interesting archaeological and historical sites.

Itinerary

DAY 1. ARRIVAL IN ULAANBAATAR CITY, MONGOLIA & CITY TOUR

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar city, Mongolia. Our driver and tour guide will pick you up from airport and take you to the Zaisan Hill, Bogd Khaan Palace Museum, Mongolian Natural History Museum and Gandan Monastery. You will then be transferred to your hotel where you can freshen up.

DAY 2. TO BAGA GAZARYN CHULUU / GRANITE ROCK PLATEAU /

Check-out of the hotel after an early breakfast, we will start our adventure tour from UB to Baga Gazaryn Chuluu, granite hills stretching 15 kilometers long along the desert steppe of the Middle Gobi.

DAY 3. TRAVEL TO TSAGAAN SUVARGA / WHITE CANYON / MIDDLE GOBI

Head to White Canyon, a beautiful limestone formation with various colors and some hiking trails. We'll walk down and explore the surroundings as it visually wonderful.

DAY 4. DRIVE TO GOBI GURVAN SAIKHAN NATIONAL PARK

Drive to Yoliin am, a canyon surrounded by deep narrow gorges. Here we'll have an opportunity to hike through the gorgeous canyon and will visit a small natural museum at the national park gate. The park is the home of bearded vulture, pike, whild sheep and ibex.

DAY 5. TO KHONGOR SAND DUNES / SOUTH GOBI /

Travel to Khongor sand dunes, one of the top attractions in the gobi desert of Mongolia. We'll visit a camel breeding nomads for riding a camel and will enjoy breathtaking sunset with the dunes in the evening.

DAY 6. TO BAYANZAG / FLAMING CLIFFS /

Drive to Flaming cliffs, which is know for its dinosaur fossils and eggs in the world. After our exploration of the cliffs, head to Bayan Zag tourist camp and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 7. TO ONGI RIVER & TEMPLE REMAIN / MIDDLE GOBI /

Continue our trip to Ongi Monastery, built in 1660 and consisted of two monastic complexes on the bank of the Ongi River. At its peak time, it was one of the four biggest monasteries of Mongolia and had over 1000 monks. During the anti-religious purges in 1937 the temples were badly destroyed. Some of the remains were restored since 2004 and used as a museum now.

DAY 8. TO KHARA KHORUM / CENTRAL MONGOLIA /

Start your day early in the morning as we will be heading towards to Central Mongolia to visit Kharkhorin, served as the capital of the Mongolian Empire in the 13th century for a short time. After visit Kharkhorin museum, we'll head to Erdene Zuu monastery, the biggest buddist monastery in Mongolia. And, we'll then drive to our accommodation for overnight.

DAY 9. TRAVEL TO KHORGO TERKH NATIONAL PARK VIA TAIKHAR ROCK

On the way to Khorgo Terkh National Park, we'll visit Taikhar rock for lunch and continue the tour to Khorgo crater with some short breaks at Chuluut canyon and small volcanic caves. Once arrival at Great White Lake, we'll take our leisure time for the rest of the day.

DAY 10. HORSE RIDING AROUND GREAT WHITE LAKE

On this day, our horseback riding will begin after hearty breakfast. We'll ride nearby the lake and trails covers smooth terrain in general and ups and downs at some part.

DAY 11. TO JARGAL JIGUUR HOT SPRING

Head out to the north to reach Jargal Jiguur hot spring. Once reach the place we'll enjoy natural hot sulphur spring at a local resort.

DAY 12. TO KHUVSGUL LAKE NATIONAL PARK VIA MURUN TOWN / NORTHERN MONGOLIA /

Drive to Khuvsgul Lake National Park, covers territory surrounding Khovsgul lake, the largest fresh water lake in Mongolia by volume.

DAY 13. HIKING TO KHYASAA MOUNTAIN

Today we'll take a little drive to reach to the Khyasaa mountain where our hiking starts and see the whole view of Khuvsgul lake.

DAY 14. BACK TO MURUN TOWN VIA DEER STONE MONUMENTS

On the way back to Murun town we'll visit Uushigiin uvur where numerious deer stone monuments stand in a line.

DAY 15. FLY BACK TO ULAANBAATAR & TO KHUSTAI NATIONAL PARK

After a soft breakfast in the morning, you will be taken to Murun airport with your tour guide to board a plane to UB. Upon arrival at Chingges Khaan airport, our presentative will pick you up and drive to Khustai National Park.

DAY 16.TO GORKHI TERELJ NATIONAL PARK VIA MANZUSHIR MONASTERY RUIN

Continue the journey to Terelj National Park. We'll visit Manzushir Monastery on the way to the national park.

DAY 17. TO CHINGGIS KHAAN'S HORSEBACK STATUE & BACK TO THE CAPITAL OF MONGOLIA

On this day, we'll leave the park to explore the giant horseback state of Chinggis Khaan before heading back to Ulaanbaatar city.
