Itinerary
DAY 1. ARRIVAL IN MONGOLIA
Welcome to Mongolia. Upon your arrival, our guide and driver will meet you at the arrival hall of Chinggis Khaan International Airport. You will then be transported to Ulaanbaatar city and taken to a five-star hotel for your stay.
DAY 2. EXPLORE THE BEST HIGHLIGHTS IN ULAANBAATAR CITY
Commence your sightseeing excursion in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. Our guide and driver will greet you at 9 AM near the hotel reception. Following this, we will head to Zaisan Hill, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Ulaanbaatar. The city tour will then continue to several attractions, including Bogd Khaan's Palace and Museum, Sukhbaatar Square, and the National History Museum. The day will conclude with a traditional music and dance concert. You will spend the night in a luxurious 5-star hotel.
DAY 3. FLY TO SOUTH GOBI DESERT & YOL GORGE
Depart from Ulaanbaatar for South Gobi province after enjoying a substantial breakfast at the hotel. Upon reaching DZ airport, we will proceed to the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park to explore Yoliin Am Gorge, a narrow and deep gorge characterized by its steep rock walls, located within the Gobi Three Beauties mountain range in southern Mongolia. The gorge is named after the vulture known as Yol in Mongolian. Comfortable accommodation will be provided in a tourist camp for the night.
DAY 4. TO KHONGOR SAND DUNES
We will leave the gorge around 9 AM after enjoying breakfast and proceed to the Khongor sand dunes, which are the second largest and most impressive sand dunes in Mongolia, extending an incredible 180 kilometers in length, 3 to 20 kilometers in width, and rising over 300 meters high. During our journey, we will stop for lunch in Bayandalai village at approximately 12:30 PM. Upon reaching our destination, we will embark on a camel ride and ascend to the summit of the singing dunes after dinner at 6 PM to witness the sunset and take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding oasis. Overnight in a luxury tourist camp.
DAY 5. TO BAYANZAG / FLAMING CLIFFS /
Set off on a journey to Bayanzag, we will pass by the saxaul forest adjacent to the Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park. We plan to stop for lunch in Bulgan village around 1 PM before continuing our drive for approximately 18 kilometers to the Flaming Cliffs. This site is renowned for being the location where the first scientifically recognized dinosaur fossilized eggs were discovered, along with various species of dinosaur skeletons, by American explorer Roy Andrew Chapman in 1923.
DAY 6. TO DALANZADGAD CITY VIA KHAVTSGAIT PETROGLYPHS
Continue the trip to Dalanzadgad, the capital city of the southern region of Mongolia. En route to the city, we will visit the Khavtsgait rock paintings, which date back to the late Bronze Age, approximately 4,000 to 5,000 years ago. The artwork primarily features antelopes, ibexes, and mountain sheep, as well as representations of a man on horseback, hunters, galloping horses, and a rare depiction of a camel, along with wheeled carts and primitive gers. These artifacts provide valuable insights into the lives of ancient peoples.
DAY 7. TO GORKHI TERELJ NATIONAL PARK
Today we'll fly back to Ulaanbaatar city to visit one of the most famous national parks in Mongolia. Gorkhi Terelj National Park is situated 65 kilometers northeast of Ulaanbaatar, accessible via a paved road. The park features towering granite hills with forested northern slopes, an abundance of wildflower meadows, and uniquely shaped rock formations sculpted by the wind, all of which create a captivating landscape for visitors. Stay overnight in a luxury tourist camp.
DAY 8. RETURN TO ULAANBAATAR CITY VIA CHINGGIS KHAAN'S STATUE
After a hearty breakfast in the camp, we'll drive to Tsonjin Boldog to explore Chinggis Khaan's Giant Horseback Statue before heading back to Ulaanbaatar.
DAY 9. DEPARTURE
Your wonderful journey will conclude here, after which you will be taken to the airport.
