Fly to the extreme western part of Mongolia with a personal guide to experience a way of nomadic herding life and visit eagle hunters. The adventure continuous furthermore into a western Mongolian route that composed of Grand Altai Mountains and clean water lakes. Itinerary

DAY 1. FLY TO ULGII TOWN & TO ALTAI TAVAN BOGD NP

Head to Chinggis Khan Airport to catch a flight to Ulgii Town and when you land in the town, your kozak driver and guide will pick you up and travel to white river/ranger station where you'll visit a Tuvan family to explore their unique lifestyle and custom.

DAY 2/3. HORSE TREKKING TO ALTAI 5 PEAKS

Today, we'll start our horse trekking from ranger station to Mongolia’s largest glacier Potanin /53.5 square km /. You will experience an unforgettable excursion to largest Potanin Glacier. It covers 53.5 sq.km and ice river starts from Grand Altai Peaks. Walking along the river you will have a great opportunity to observe the beautiful wild, untouched countryside, fresh air and serenity.

DAY 4. BACK TO WHITE RIVER/RANGER STATION/

We'll resume our horse trekking from base camp to the ranger station. We will ride along the glaciers where you can admire the moraine ice and permanent snow. We will visit the same Tuvan family and stay over the night in their guest’s ger

DAY 5. TO KHURGAN & KHOTON LAKES

Head to Khurgan and Khoton lakes, crystal clear water fed by many small streams originating from Altai Mountain. The landscape surrounding lake is beautiful and picturesque with snowcapped mountains and green meadows at their foothills. This is a nice place for hiking and bird watching.

DAY 6. TO EAGLE HUNTERS

Head to the east to visit eagle hunters and stay overnight with them to exchange experiences and dress Kazakh traditional garments and take a selfie with eagle and play traditional ankle bone games with Kazakh people.

DAY 7. BACK TO ULGII TOWN

Drive back to Ulgii town to stay over the night in a local hostel and enjoy a hot shower.

DAY 8. FLY BACK TO ULAANBAATAR CITY

Today, we'll fly back to Ulaanbaatar city.
