Itinerary

DAY 1. TO ELSEN TASARKHAI / MINI GOBI-DESERT/

Head to the west to visit Elsen Tasarkhai, 80km long sand dunes, a part of Khugnu Tarna Nature Reserve which is a home to some endangered species of birds of prey and wolves. Three different nature zones are combined together in the same place and covers 49600hectars.

DAY 2. TO KHARKHORIN & ERDENE ZUU MONASTERY

Drive to Kharkhorin village, an ancient capital of the Great Mongolian Empire, one of the most popular tourist destinations. Upon arrival in the village, we'll visit the earliest surviving monastery “Erdene Dzuu”, constructed with stones nearby ruins of the ancient Mongolian capital of Kharakhorum in 1586 by Abtai Sain King. The Monastic complex was also inscribed on the List of World Heritage in 2004 as a part of the Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape. Before heading our accommodation, we’ll enjoy some exhibits and artifacts in Kharkhorum museum.

DAY 3. TO KHORGO TERKH NATIONAL PARK

Continue our trip to Khorgo Terkh National Park, famous with its attractive scenery, situated in Arkhangai province. When reaching to the destination, we’ll visit several small caves, formed by volcanic lava stream then head to Great White Lake/Terkhyn tsagaan nuur/ where we’ll spend the nights on its shore. The lake is extremely beautiful with fresh water and prosperous species of fish and some rare water fowls.

DAY 4. TO JARGAL JIGUUR HOT SPRING

Today we'll drive to Jargal jiguur hot spring, also known as Khunjil geyser, a sulphar spring that emerges from the ground (150m) at 70 degrees Censuis. Night bath with stargazing is wonderful experience to soothe and relieve stress.

DAY 5/6. TO KHUVSGUL LAKE NATIONAL PARK

Head north to reach Khuvsgul Lake National Park to explore the Mongolian biggest fresh watered lake, refers to a dark blue pearl with a length of 137km and 262m deep. Here we will spend 2 nights. Activities: Horseback riding, hiking and drive up to a beautiful mountain to see whole panoramic scenery of the biggest lake of Mongolia

DAY 7. TO URAN TOGOO MOUNTAIN

After hearty breakfast early in the morning, continue our trip to Uran Togoo Mountain– an extinct volcano named for its characteristic crater lies in Bulgan province. Upon arrival to Uran togoo NP – We will climb the Uran Togoo Mount to see the panoramic view of the surrounding beauties. The mountain is nearly 1689meter high above sea level.

DAY 8. TO AMARBAYASGALANT MONASTERY

Travel to Amarbayasgalant monasterythe biggest monastic complex and buddhist school in the north Mongolia. The monastery was constructed in 1736 and has survived destruction during anti-religious purges. 28 temples rich in wood carvings and religious artifacts inside the monastery walls housed over 5000monks during its flourishing period. A golden Buddha statue and phenomenal stupa on hilltops backyard the monastery wall offer great panoramic views of surroundings.

DAY 9. DRIVE BACK TO ULAANBAATAR CITY

Head back to Ulaanbaatar city and transferred to accommodation.
