Itinerary

DAY 1. TO KHUGNU TARNA NATURE RESERVE

Head to the west to visit the Khugnu Tarna Nature Reserve, protects some endangered species of birds of prey and wolves. Three different nature zones are combined together in the same place and covers 49600hectars. Once we reach to Khugnu Tarna NR we will ride a Mongolian two humped camel and horse.

DAY 2/3. TO ORKHON VALLEY NATIONAL PARK

Drive further into the Orkhon Valley National Park, which provides a scenic view of green meadows, pine forest, streams and waterfall. The area is ideal for fishing, horseback riding, hiking and photography. Here we'll spend two nights and take an opportunity to visit yak herding nomads and ride a horse nearby Orkhon waterfall which was formed uniquely by volcanic lava streams and tumbles over the vertical drop into a deep canyon.

DAY 4. TO TUVKHUN TEMPLE

Continue the journey to Tuvkhun temple, refers as Nord Utai in Mongolia. Once we reach at the foot of ‘Undur shireet’ mountain we’ll start our trekking up to the Mountain, where the temple is located on its top and enjoy a tranquil and beautiful scenery to get inspiration and relaxation while visiting the temple.

DAY 5. TO TSENKHER HOT SPA

Drive to Tsenkher Hot Spring, a sulphur spring that emerges from underground at a sizzling 86C and is located at an altitude of 1860m above sea level, the second hottest spring in Mongolia. Looking up at the Milky Way on a starry night is a wonderful experience while taking a hot spa with an outdoor pool.

DAY 6. TO KHARKHORIN & ERDENE ZUU MONASTERY

Head to Kharkhorin village, an ancient capital of the Great Mongolian Empire, one of the most popular tourist destinations. Upon arrival in the village, we'll visit the earliest surviving monastery “Erdene Dzuu”, constructed with stones nearby ruins of the ancient Mongolian capital of Kharakhorum in 1586 by Abtai Sain King. The Monastic complex was also inscribed on the List of World Heritage in 2004 as a part of the Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape. Before driving our accommodation, we’ll enjoy some exhibits and artifacts in Kharkhorum museum.

DAY 7. TO UGII LAKE VIA KULTEGIN MONUMENT

Today, we’ll set off on a journey to Ugii lake which is famous for its bird life and fishing. The lake has registered to the Ramsar List of Wetlands of International Importance of being important breeding and stopover point for a wide variety of waterfowl. The lake is suitable for swimming and fishing.

DAY 8. RETURN TO ULAANBAATAR CITY

Arrive back to Ulaanbaatar city and transferred to accommodation.
