Itinerary

DAY 1. TO BAGA GAZARYN CHULUU/GRANITE HILLS/

Drive out Baga Gazaryn Chuluu, a granite hills with the length of 15km surrounded by plain. Once arrival at the hills, we will see several small sights and stay in a nomadic family operated yurt.

DAY 2. TO WHITE CANYON / MIDDLE GOBI /

Travel to Tsagaan Suvarga or White Canyon, a fissure eroded by the wind look like an ancient city ruin from a certain distance.

DAY 3. TO GOBI GURVANSAIKHAN NP/ YOL CANYON /

Transfer to Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park to see Yol canyon. Upon our arrival at the ranger station of the NP, we will visit a local museum and then walk through the Yol canyon.

DAY 4. TO KHONGOR SAND DUNES / SOUTH GOBI /

Head to Khongoryn Els, real Mongolian Sahara deploying off its majestic strings dune.

DAY 5. TO FLAMING CLIFFS/BAYANZAG/

Drive to "The Flaming Cliffs or Bayan Zag – saxaul forest lies around 90 km from the Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park. The place became famous with its first scientifically recognized dinosaur fossilized eggs in the world and different species of dinosaur skeletons were discovered by Roy Andrew Chapman, American explorer in 1923.

DAY 6. TO ONGI MONASTERY / MIDDLE GOBI /

Drive to Ongi, a monastery ruins which was destroyed during communist purges in 1937. Once we reach the sight, we’ll visit a small museum in a yurt and reconstructed temple.

DAY 7. TO SHURANGA VALLEY

Drive to Shuranga canyon and visit an authentic nomadic family.

DAY 8. TREK TO SHIREET LAKE

Start our hiking to Shireet lake, the biggest lake of the eight lakes.

DAY 9. HIKING TO KHUIS LAKE

Today, we hike through a valley, passing several lakes until reach Kuis lake.

DAY 10. CONTINUE HIKING TO BUURUG VALLEY

Continue our hiking to Buurug, a scenic valley surrounded by lash forested mountain ranges.

DAY 11. HIKING/RIDING TO YAK HERDING NOMADS

Today we will hike or ride to Orkhon Valley depending on your request. Upon reach the Orkhon we will visit a yak herding nomads.

DAY 12. HORSE TREKKING NEARBY ORKHON WATERFALL

After breakfast, we will ride a horse nearby Orkhon waterfall.

DAY 13. TO TUVKHUN TEMPLE & TREK / CENTRAL MONGOLIA /

Drive to Undur Shireet mountain and hike up to its top to reach the Tuvkhun temple. Once you reach its top you will admire a grogeous view of Khangai Mountain region.

DAY 14. TO KHARKHORIN & ERDENE ZUU

Travel to Kharhorin, where the Mongolian biggest monastery is located.

DAY 15. TO KHUGNU KHAAN MOUNTAIN

Head to Khugnu Khan Mountain, where bushland, steppe and gobi type plants grow in this area and it represents three different natural contrast.

DAY 16. TO HUSTAI NATIONAL PARK

Drive to Hustai National Park to see Mongolian wild horse Takhi.

DAY 17. RETURN TO ULAANBAATAR CITY

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar city and transferred to accommodation.
