Itinerary
DAY 1. TO KHUH LAKE VIA TSONJIN BOLDOG
Head to Khuh lake, known as the Blue Lake with Black Heart situated nearby Tsenkher river. The lake is an important place where the Great Chinggis Khaan was enthroned on it's shore. There is a wooden memorial complex on the southern shore of the lake, which is dedicated to the 840 year birth anniversary of the Great Khaan.
DAY 2. TO BALDAN BEREEVEN MONASTERY
Today we'll hike half way from the Khuh lake to Baldan Bereeven monastery. Estimated hiking is 8 or 9km and we need our driver's ride for the rest of the distance to reach Baldan Bereeven Monastery. After lunch, we will explore three restored temples and remains of the Baldan Bereeven, stupas and other religious structures.
DAY 3. UGLUGCHYN KHEREM/ ARCHEALOGICAL SITE/
Drive out Uglugchyn Kherem, a stone masonry wall with a length about 3.5 km is laid out orderly supporting a holly mountain. The place is one of the important archealogical site dated back to the Kitan Empire.
DAY 4. 13TH CENTURY THEME PARK
Head to the 13th century theme park, which is a sort of a live museum showed 13th century lifestyle and culture of the Great Mongolian Empire. Once reach the theme park, you will have the great opportunity to experience the genuine way of living and working during the time.
DAY 5. TO GORKHI TERELJ NATIONAL PARK
Continue our trip to the Gorkhi Terelj National Park, one of the most visited national park. Upon our arrival in the park we will take a short stop at a huge granite boulder which shaped as if a turtle and hike to a meditational temple, is worth a visit for the beautiful view.
DAY 6. RETURN TO ULAANBAATAR CITY
After breakfast, We will ride a horse around an hour before head back to Ulaanbaatar city.
